Torre de' Roveri

Description

Torre de' Roveri is a small town in the province of Bergamo, set at the first foothills of the Orobie Alps, not too far from the provincial capital.
Numerous Roman finds, including a furnace, reveal that the area was inhabited since the Roman period. During the Middle Ages, the town passed under thr control of the Pasta family and, subsequently, of the Sforza della Torre one, who realised important building projects, as the Parish church.
The Parish Church of San Girolamo, in Lombard gothic style, has been rebuilt during the XX century.
