Description

The Hotel Casci was inaugurated in 1926 and happily welcomed by the local press as the first hotel in Florence whose rooms were equipped with both hot and cold water. It is located in an old XV century building, later converted into a convent, along Via Cavour, once called "Via degli Spadai" (swordsmith street) for the presence of farriers' workshops.

The property still preserves the precious frescoes of the time, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The 24 rooms (single, double, twin bedded, triple and quadruple) are soundproofed, spacious and bright, furnished in a sober way. They are equipped with private bathroom, hairdryer, air conditioning, mini bar, safety box, LCD SAT TV, DVD player, free wi-fi internet connection. Extra beds and cot on request. Families and small groups can book two adjoining bedrooms that can accommodate up to 5 people.

Due to its central position, in the very heart of Florence's historical center, a UNESCO protected site since 1982, the Hotel Casci is a perfect starting point for visiting the city and all its wonderful monuments, symbols of Renaissance: the Duomo, Uffizi gallery, Ponte Vecchio, the Academy of Fine Arts with the beautiful Michelangelo's David, Fortezza da Basso, Palazzo Pitti and Boboli Gardens.
City of human scale, Florence lived its moment of greatest cultural and artistic splendor from the second half of the XIV century, coinciding with the lordship of the Medici family, giving impetus to the development of the Renaissance. The surrounding landscape is truly unforgettable, the rolling hills, churches, convents, Medici villas and picturesque Tuscan villages.
