Vinci

Description

Vinci, whose name probably derives from the Latin word "vincus" (wicker), is the birthplace of Renaissance Genius Leonardo (1452-1519). Here, in fact, it's possible to visit the Leonardo's Museum, the Leonardo's Library and the Ideal Museum of Leonardo da Vinci.
Not too far from the historic centre of the town there is Leonardo's native house.
Do not miss to admire the wooden sculpture by Mario Ceroli, "the Man from Vinci", inspired to Leonardo's Vitruvian Man.
