Vitulano is a village in the province of Benevento, set at the foot of the Taburno massif and Caruso Mount, in the "Taburno Camposauro Regional Park".
Vitulano is also known world-wide for its characteristic red "alla lumachella" marble that was used in the Kremlin, Rome, the Royal Palace of Caserta, in Naples and in the building of the Benevento Chamber of Commerce.
Vitulano is of pre-Roman origin and filled with historical and archeological sites as well as many churches and noble palazzi.
