The history of Manerba sul Garda, wonderful town surrounded by blooming olive groves, grapevines and cypress trees, is strictly connected to its Rocca (Fortress), situated as it is on the high spur of the promontary from whose summit you can admire one of the most attractive panoramas on Lake Garda.
The Archaeological Museum of Valtenesi hosts many important remains found in the area, dated back to the Neolithic Period. The Sasso area, set below the Fortress, with a dramatic high cliff of about 150 metres, is also interesting.
In the area you can take part in water sports or mountain biking, take a boat ride, revive yourself with a swim in the lake, and sunbathe in total peace on one of the many well-equipped beaches.
