Elba Isle

Description

Elba, one of the most famous isle in the Tyrrhenian Sea, takes part of the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago. Originally inhabited by Ligures Ilvati, thanks to its iron resources and its valued mines it increased the development both of the Etruscan population and of the Roman military army. In fact the Roman soldiers used as weapon the javelin with mobile iron point, which absolutely needed unlimited availability of iron.
Elba isle is the favourite place for Italian and foreign tourists, due to its naturalistic beauties, its crystral clear sea and marvelous beaches. Numerousbays are waiting to be discovered by boat!
