Owned by Vitas family since 1935, the winery is placed in the wine-producing area of DOC Friuli Aquileia on a clayey-marly and sandy-calcareous soil (the so-called Magredi), one of the ingredients which, together with the influence of the sea, a friendly sun, an average temperature of 14° and the absence of night frosts, create a perfect microclimate for vine-growing.
The true meaning of a lifetime spent in deep contact with Nature's cyclical repetition and renewal is more like a fairy tale which can't be explained.
But only told.
The Vitas family, active in the wine field since 1907, has been handing down this tale for four generations to all their guests with passion, kindness and expertise.
The villa, an historical residence dating back to the eighteenth century and now winery's head office, is deeply amidst an age-old park crossed by a magnolia path that goes until disappearing in the distance among the vineyards. It is now used for congresses, banquets and guided tours with wine tasting.
