The company was founded in 1989 when Fabio coser and his wife Daniela decide to purchase an estate of approximately 9 hectares, 4 of wixh covered by vineyards, in the heart of Gorizia's Collio region, and more precisely in the municipality of Cormons.
The property now borders with a nature reserve, at an altitude of between 140 and 200 meters above sea level and covers an area of more than 20 hectares with over 12 hectares of vineyard.
The presence of several colonies of badgers (tassi, in italian) that when the grapes ripen become greedy consumers of the sweeter bunches and the particular arrangement of the vines on well-exposed terraces known as "ronchi", gave the estate name of "Ronco dei Tassi".
The company is family run by the owners and their two sons, Matteo and Enrico, with the aim of fostering and continuing the ongoing quest for qualitative improvements by attempting to maintain and devellop the values of this important tradition and territory.
The philosophy of the small business is centred on the rigorous, careful farming of its vineyards and a meticolous, respectful management of the winemaking techniques employed. This makes it possible to maintain the typical quality and characteristics of the fruit and the territory in which it grows.
