Description

The wine producing company was founded in 1955 by Giovanni Piersanti and his children Silveria and Carlo, who had already acquired a notable expertise in the field of sparkling wines. Later on Carlo's sons, Giuliano and Ottavio, took over the business. They have inherited from their father the passion for hard work receiving great satisfaction in return. In the beginning the wine house was no more than a room, where mostly sparkling wines were bottled, since they were the most popular. In the mid eighties, by following more and more demanding market requirements, Piersanti enlarged its premises and built a modern warehouse of more than 2,000 sq. m., which has now become the core of the business, with a capacity of over 20,000 quintals of wine in stainless steel tanks.

Thanks to the introduction of the most up-to-date winemaking techniques, cold fermentation with soft pressing at controlled temperature, Piersanti is able to obtain a quality product, which fully satisfies new market needs. The most important wine of their production is the "Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC CLASSICO" white wine, straw-coloured with greenish reflections and with a dry flavour with a pleasantly bitter aftertaste. The wine producing company also produces the "Brut di Verdicchio Doc Classico" sparkling wine, obtained after a careful selection of grapes from their own vineyard, from the must by soft pressing with natural fermentation in autoclave. Its name, Follonica, stems from the district of the same name, where the vineyard is located. The policy adopted by the company and continuous updating have enabled it to promote products such as Rosso Conero DOC, white and red table wines of the Marches region as well as sweet sparkling wines, not only in Italy but also abroad.

In fact, part of the production is exported to America, Canada and Japan as well as to many European countries such as England, Germany, Holland, Austria and Spain.
