Description

Since the beginning the Company has chosen high quality : the cultivation of the vineyards is performed with the objective to value nature: every procedure is constantly kept under control by an enologist of us, who makes use of the latest technologies in order to study climatic conditions. The picking is done entirely by hand, choosing different kinds of grapes of each variety. This selection continues in the wine cellar with a further sorting of the bunches immediately before the vinification, which is performed to enhance its characteristics. From this constant research comes the wines produced by the Company, aimed at a qualified and elite consumer.

Since 1853 our family cultivates fine wine grapes from vineyards located in Abruzzo: South Central Italy. The estate consists of 44 hectares stretched out between the territory of Chieti and Pescara.

The vineyeards, located at an altitude varying between 80 - 300 meters above sea level, are exposed to the north and to the south depending on the various cultivation needs. The most common method of cultivation is the pergola, for particular varieties the "gujot" procedure is used. The number of vines ranges from 2.500 to 3.500 per hectare with a distance of 2,5 meters between the rows.

The average age of a vine is 25 years.
