Description

The Hotel Flora is anelegant XVII century property located in the very heart of Venice, a few steps from Calle XXII Marzo, between Campo Santa Maria del Giglio and Campo San Moisè, close to Piazza San Marco. In the past it was frequented by numerous Venetian artists as it was seat of the School of Painting. Next to the hotel is located Palazzo Contarini Fasan that, according to tradition, was the residence of Desdemona, the tragic protagonist of Shakespeare's Othello.

For three generations the Romanelli family is involved in hospitality in Venice. In 1964, in fact, Mrs Diana Serandrei and her husband Mr Alessandro Romanelli took over the small guesthouse Flora, just 15 rooms, making it a reference point for travelers from all the world.

The 43 rooms are tastefully furnished with antique furniture in Venetian style, damask upholstery, gilded frames and Oriental rugs, creating an elegant atmosphere; they are equipped with private bathroom and hairdryer, air conditioning/heating, free wi-fi internet connection, LCD TV, mini bar and safety box.

The private garden, a green oasis in the heart of Venice, and the bar, with its velvet furnishings in retro style, are the ideal place for sipping a drink or cocktail and spending relaxing moments after a day of work or a visit to the city.

Guests can regenerate body and mind at the newest Studio Techogym of the Hotel Flora, using the latest equipment, with the support of a personal trainer.

Due to its perfect position, the Hotel Flora is an ideal starting point for visiting Venice and its lagoon, either on foot (the famous La Fenice Theater, Ca' Contarini del Bovolo, the Accademia, Palazzo Grassi and Palazzo Franchetti are easily reachable by a walk of few minutes) or by ferry.
