The history of the Fabiano family in the wine-making industry started in 1912, when Francesco Fabiano, Nicola's son, opened a wine store in Venice, just a few steps from St. Marco Cathedral.
His son Sergio, having made his store very popular in the whole city, started a wine trade throughout the Veneto region.
A clever merchant and a charismatic character, in 1955 he engaged himself in the production and distribution of bottled wine, buyng a small estate in Lazise, on the Veronese shore of Garda Lake, for that purpose.
The success achieved by the Amarone "I Fondatori" and by "Heritage", the prestigious vertical sampling of Amarone, confirm the commitment of Fabiano toward products of ever greater prestige, evidence of the care and love which the company dedicates to its wines.
Thanks to the success of Cabernet Sauvignon "Intenso" - from the line "I Varietali" - and of Lugana "Argillaia" - from the "Modern line" - Fabiano's dynamic style has been recognized, confirmed by Chardonnay "Galante", a wine of clear international style and by Valpolicella Classico "Negraro" obtained with "Ripasso" method, which testifies to the close relation between Fabiano and the Veronese traditions.
The business flourished at a very rapid pace and, thanks to the significant contribution made to it by the third generation, in 1968 the plant was moved to its current location in Sona and was further enlarged in 1973, to an area uniquely suited for wine growing, half way between the city of Verona and Garda Lake.
In the '70s and 80's Fabiano committed to attaining prestigious goals on the international markets as well, and to develop advanced technologies. In the '90s the company successfully entered the most important wines from Verona but also with product lines corresponding to the international tastes requested by an ever wider and more demanding market.
