Potenza and its province

Description

The province of Potenza, bigger than Matera's one, is rich in interesting cultural and natural itineraries, such as the charming Maratera, the pearl of the Thyrrenian Sea, the only one town overlooking the sea in the whole province of Potenza, the Laudemio Lake, the most Southern lake of glacial origin, the Monticchio Lakes, formed on the crater of the extinguished volcano. Moreover the suggestive Caves of the Vucculi in Muro Lucano, the natural reserves of the Park of the Agri Valley and the Park of Gallipoli Cotognato Forest.
Finally, for the archaeology lovers, the remains of the ancient Roman cities of Venosa and Grumentum and the Medieval one of Melfi worth a visit.
