Emerald Coast and surroundings

Description

The Emerald Coast is a coastal area in northern Sardinia, totally included in the town of Arzachena. "Costa Smeralda Consortium", created in 1962 by Prince Karim Aga Khan, was constituted in order to preserve the beauty of the natural landscape; thus the typical "Emerald Cost style" refers to the picturesque local houses, which discreetly become part of the environment.
It is the territory that is home to the Emerald Coast, holiday paradise for many in the world, with a strong tourist vocation which offers top quality reception and entertainment services. The antiquity of the territory is proven by the presence of a number of constructions, such as those found along the Arzachena-Luogosanto road, with the tomb of the giants of Li Lolghi and the necropolis of Li Muri, made up by circles of vertically set stones in the ground, or such as those along the Olbia-Arzachena road with the Nuragic temple of Malchittu or the tunnel nuraghe Albucciu.
