Three words can summarize the Emilia Romagna: sea, sun and fun. Not just because this region is one of the richest in Italy for historical and artistic monuments as well as gastronomic tradition. In short, this region can satisfy all kind of tourists.

Bologna, seat of the oldest university in Italy (XI century), is rich in monuments of great artistic value, as for example, the Asinelli and Garisenda towers, both leaning, Piazza Maggiore and its medieval buildings, the Cathedral of San Petronio and the picturesque porticoes of the historical center. Not to be missed: the Byzantine style masterpieces of Ravenna, the medieval baptistery of Antelami in Parma, the Malatesta Temple in Rimini, the Romanesque Church of San Mercuriale in Forlì, the ancient Town Hall of Piacenza, the XVII century Sanctuary of Madonna della Ghiara in Reggio Emilia, the wonderful Galleria Estense in Modena and harmonious and well-preserved historical center of Ferrara.
