Bosco Selèni archaeological park (Lanusei)
The Seleni Wood Archaeological Park is situated in the area of the granitic range of the same name (978 m. a.s.l.) that overlooks the town of Lanusei, in a natural setting of thick holm oak and European oak woods. The complex is very important from a scientific standpoint due to the unusual concentration of defensive structures used to control the territory (Nuraghi), civil structures (a village) and monuments erected to honour and celebrate the dead (giants tombs) or for water cults purposes (sacred wells). The name "Archaeological Park" given to the site is more than justified by the abundance of archaeological ruins and the fine natural surroundings. The Gennaccili nuraghe and two giants tombs are open to the public.
