Le Querce Restaurant Amalfi Coast

" Le Querce" Farm House - Via Chiancolelle", Tramonti (SA). Info: +39 3382032931 oppure

In a typical mountain landscape, near the Valico di Chiunzi, Le Querce Restaurant -The Oaks- is with no doubts the ideal place for those who prefer large and well cooked portions and, at the same time, appreciate rural atmosphere. Two are the main architectonical elements: the stone, used in the paving and in the covering of the walls, and the wood, for the beams and the ceiling.
The kitchen is visible from the restaurant hall and, in addition to the local country dishes, there is a weekly goat meat-based menu. The "pizzaiolo" rings the cowbell to inform the waiters that the pizza or the meat (cooked in the wood oven) are ready!
As main course we have chosen, "vesuviotti con rucola e salsiccia" (vesuviotti pasta with rocked garden and sasusage) and "bucatini con braciola di capra" (bucatini pasta with goat steak), followed by "spezzatino di capra" (goat stew) and "scaloppine ai funghi porcini" (escalope with edible boletus). Everything is delicious, especially goat meat for its delicacy and taste!
Some useful advice: be careful with local red wine, full-bodied, mellow and lightly fizzy, it goes to your head immediately. Do not forget the dessert: it's worthwhile!
