Ristorante Pizzeria "Torna a' Surriento" - Via Corso Italia, 240 - Piano di Sorrento (NA)
Are you interested in spending an unforgettable Sunday out without giving anything else up? Well, try to reach Nerano, a nice village near Massa Lubrense, rent a boat with some friends and sail to Capri. Do not forget to visit the "Grotta Azzurra"! Sea, sun and packed lunch! At the sunset, drive towards Piano di Sorrento and have a stop for dinner at "Torna a' Surriento" Restaurant and Pizzeria.
This restaurant has been a great and pleasant surprise for us too: the cherry on the cake at the end of a fantastic day! "Torna a' Surriento" Restaurant is surrounded by a beautiful park with outdoor tables and a spacious parking area. Together with a couple of friends, we ordered "Antipasto di terra" (mozzarella cheese, pork meat, grilled vegetables) and a simple flat bread instead of the classic bread: crisp, thin, well cooked and seasoned only with extra virgin olive oil! It was sold like hot cakes!
Then we had: "Tagliatelle con funghi porcini e gamberi" (Tagliatelle pasta with mushrooms and shrimps - strange but delicious combination - "Paccheri allo scoglio con cozze, vongole e gamberi" (Paccheri pasta with mussels, clams and crayfish) - al dente with few seasoning to exalt the taste of the seafood - and "Trofie con gamberi e zucchini" (Trofie pasta with crayfish and courgettes) - delicate and unusual taste -.
To better appreciate such excellent food, we ordered a white new wine, "Pallagrello".
To end the meal a nice fruit cake and a "Passito di Pantelleria" wine, with an intense and fruit scent!
Follow the advice of the famous De Curtis brothers: "Torna a' Surriento!".
