Collodi Butterfly House ® is a splendid greenhouse-building in stone and crystal, projected by Emilio Faroldi and Maria Pilar Vettori of the architecture studio emilio faroldi associati, with offices in Parma and Milan, that guest a luxuriant tropical garden containing thousands of butterflies coming from all over the world. Inside an audiovisual presentation, prepares the visitor to understand animal and vegetation life which one can admire inside the Collodi Butterfly House ®.
Didactic Presentation that follows, also in the internal route, with 10 gigantic information panels, two insectariums and a formicary.
The construction used maximum technology from the glass actually applicable in the constructions with magic, luminosity, lightness which the glasshouses and the butterflies equally evoke.
Inside, the visitor can admire a beautiful exotic garden where daily they court, nourish on flowers and reproduce, about a thousand of the most beautiful butterflies of the world coming from Amazonian or Neo-tropical, Afro-tropical and Indo-Australian ambients.
A fascinating world which triumph the aetiology, where one can see all the stages of development (egg, caterpillar, chrysalis and butterfly), observe the differences between butterflies diurnal and nocturnal, (moths), known for aposematic coloration, terrific make-up adapted for living, like the mimetism batesian and mullerian.
