The poets' tombs
The tombs of Leopardi and Virgilio stand in the beautiful park at the foot of the hill that separates Mergellina from Fuorigrotta; the first is in a very sensational area with tuff caves; the second is a roman colombarium of the Augustan age. The tomb of Jacopo Sannazzaro, instead, is kept in Santa Maria del Parto a Mergellina Church.
