Trattoria La Tagliata Restaurant in Positano

"La Tagliata" Restaurant and Trattoria - Via Tagliata, 22 - Positano Amalfi Coast Salerno Italy

"La Tagliata" Trattoria is located on the way to Montepertuso (near Positano), in a typical country landscape from where you can admire a wonderful view of the Amalfi Coast. The place is mainly renowned for the genuineness and high quality of the meat!
It is a country-style Trattoria, not only for the location but also for the furniture. If you prefer sitting outside and enjoy the charming view of Positano by night, it's advisable to pre-book a table.
We took the waiter's advice and ordered an appetizer (including dairy products, pork, aubergine's parmigiana, mixed vegetables, parmesan flakes with fresh tomato sauce, omelette made with eggs and spaghetti, and a delicious sauté chick-peas with bacon, followed by some mixed grill, chips and salad). Our only complain was that sausages were a little bit too rare.
To end with a flourish, a slice of fruit cake and one of "ricotta e pere" (cheese cake with pears, another variation of De Riso's one - a famous confectioner of the Amalfi coast): both delicious!
The meal was accompanied by a full-bodied ruby-red wine Taurasi Terredora 2000.
As for the rates they are comparable to other trattorias of the Amalfi coast
(Credit card American Express not accepted).
