MarMeeting - Amalfi coast
Every year, in one of the first Sundays of July, in the charming scenery of the fjord of Furore, the international sports event "MarMeeting" (the high diving world-wide championship) takes place; the dives are executed from a small platform erected on the fjord of Furore bridge at a heigh of 28 mts: after the initial jump the divers have about 3 seconds to coordinate their movements before entering the water at a speed of 100km/h!
This sports event deserves to be seen, from the little beach of Furore or directly from the sea, both for the savage beauty of the location and for the divers' courage and ability.
