Villa Olmi Resort Bagno a Ripoli Florence

Villa Olmi Resort, Firenze - Via degli Olmi 4/8 - Bagno a Ripoli (FI). Ph. +39 055637710
Just a short distance from the heart of Florence, Villa Olmi Resort is set in the greenery of the centuries-old park of the estate and combines the refinement of an ancient aristocratic villa and the simple elegance of a rural ambiance, without forgetting the comforts of an exclusive 5-star hotel.
The refurbishment works of Villa Olmi were head in collaboration with the Monuments and Fine Arts Office of Florence. The classic Florentine architecture style is everywhere: wood and Florentine brick ceilings, lime plastering, Impruneta brick floor. The furnishings, including many outstanding antiques, contribute to recreate the typical elegance of the ancient patrician country houses.
The attention to the details and the elegant the style of the hotel are beyond dispute.
Alessandro, the Front Office Manager, gave us some information about the history of the villa, its restoration and the current division of the resort (Villa, Fattoria and Colonica).
Our room was spacious and bright, not to far from the pool and the lovely kitchen garden. The bathroom had Jacuzzi tub and marble top, while the bedroom area was furnished with antiques, terracotta tiles and wooden beams.
Apart from some little mishaps (probably due to the recent opening of the Resort) Villa Olmi resort will certainly become a successful tourist destination. The friendly staff makes it the ideal place for those who want to relax in the countryside with all the modern comforts.
