Sulzano is a small town in the province of Brescia, located on the Eastern shore of Lake Iseo. It is a wonderful tourist destination and an ideal starting point for excursions to Monte Isola or along the surrounding paths and trails.
Inhabited since the Roman period, the village alternates old houses and fishing boat docks, that offer lovely and romantic views. The town was ceded to the monastery of Santa Giulia in Brescia and, finally, to the powerful family of the Oldofredi.
Among the sights, worth of mention: the old country Church of San Fermo, near the Via Valeriana, the medieval Church of San Mauro, the Parish of St. George the Martyr, which was rebuilt in the XVIII century, in which is preserved an organ built by Francesco Bossi of Bergamo and a wooden statue of the artist Fantoni; the ruins of the Fortress Grisa and the Church of the Visitation, in Baroque style.
